FAQ

  • What do I wear?

Generally speaking, after a massage it feels great to pop on some comfy clothes! Just come as you are, those clothes are coming off anyway.

  • Do I tip?

Don’t even think about it! Pricing here is a flat rate. That means no need to tip on top of the service, tax is included, what you see for pricing is exactly what you get.

  • I have recently had a surgical procedure. Can I still receive Massage?

As a general rule of thumb, it is a good idea to get cleared by your physician or surgeon before electing to incorporate massage into your surgical aftercare. You may be surprised with how early in the healing process massage is pemtted!

  • I have a skin condition, can I still receive massage?

Just use common sense. Communicable skin conditions are off limits of course- but if you’ve got something like psoriasis, exczema, sunburn, or autoimmune condition going on, generally that will be alright. Inflamed areas are typically avoided.

  • Do I need to take undergarments off?

I have always asked folk to “undress to however you are comfortable”. If that means leaving undergarments on that is totally fine- if that means not wearing a stitch that is fine as well! Your body will always be covered unless we are working on that specific area (for example- your back will be uncovered if we are working on it)

  • Can I get a relaxation massage?

While the teqniques utilized are deeply relaxing to the body and soothing to the nervous system, the massage is therapeutic (as the name might imply) and not relaxation based. This may be confusing- think long palm and thumb glides across your muscles vs. the karate-chop type moves (tapotment). If you have questions, of course ask!
